Within twenty minutes drive you will find many highly recommended beauty spots, including the waterfalls of Roquefort les Cascades, the ancient town of Mirepoix and the breathtaking Cathar monuments of Montségur and Roquefixade. The airports of Carcassonne and Toulouse are both within an hours drive of the chambres et table d'hôte. The quiet roads and outstanding scenery surrounding La Maison De Roquefort make it perfect for walking and cycling, while a vast variety of other pursuits can be enjoyed throughout the Ariège and nearby Aude, including skiing at Les Monts d´Olmes (just 35 mins) and Ax-les-Thermes (60 mins), canoeing, donkey treks, horse riding, sailing, climbing, abseiling, canyoning, golf and 4x4 tours.
